In 2018 Diageo Brands approached our team in Denver to concept and create a bartender competition.  We saw a trend in mixology that was leaning towards the creation of inventive garnishes.  Diageo’s Garnish Games was born and it has evolved into Diageo’s biggest cocktail competitions in the country.  For our finale in 2023 we rented out the famed Meow Wolf and had over 1300 attendees.

Big Wall Experience has managed all facets of Diageo’s Garnish Games. It features a group of the finest bartenders in the city competing against each other to see who can create the most visually stunning cocktail garnish, and a cocktail that utilizes Diageo’s Premium Spirits portfolio.

Participants were videoed and interviewed, and we created a state-of-the-art website to feature their work and create a virtual vote for the most imaginative garnish in town! The cocktails were also featured at the accounts for the months leading up to the live finale as each contestant vied for votes to make it into the live finale. What started as a virtual competition among 15 bartenders was paired down to eight finalists who were professionally judged at a live event, and the winner left with a sizable cash prize and gifts.
